PRIDE 2013

“The moment will arrive when you are comfortable with who you are, and what you are– bald or old or fat or poor, successful or struggling- when you don’t feel the need to apologize for anything or to deny anything. To be comfortable in your own skin is the beginning of strength.”

― Charles B. Handy

Wow. Like I am literally speechless from this weekend. This weekend I went to the Dallas Pride Parade with my friends. And wow. Never have I ever seen so many people so happy and in love and free. Every moment was a celebration. Celebrating themselves and everyone else. It was beautiful. It most definitely was an out of body experience for me. My friends even thought I was sad at one point because I wasn’t talking. But really I was just thinking of how surreal that parade was. It felt as if there was no judgment! It is hard to explain. You really just have to experience it! I can’t wait to go next year!
