Okay! Week 2 of the Stylish Roundup is here. This week I thought it’d be fun to add a trend and challenge myself to create fall, work-appropriate looks each day with that theme.
So this week the trend was MONOCHROMATIC.
I loved this theme! All week I got so many comments in the office. I felt great and really unique. It’s really interesting when you wear all-color to look around NYC and notice how many people are wearing shades of gray and black and are also staring at you! haha. You’d be surprised by what monochromatic looks you have waiting to be worn in your closet. Look through it! Similar tones, color families?! Pair it together. I had a lot of fun this week. And each one of these outfits are definitely making it into outfit rotation!
Oh! One more thing. Thursday I stayed home from work sick so this week only features 4 looks: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Monday – October 21st
I’ve recently fallen in love with the color orange. Bright orange all the way to a rusty orange I think they look great on my skin complexion. So I was so pumped about starting the week with my new favorite wardrobe color.
I’ve had these pants from Forever 21 for a couple of years now. AND on October 21st I lost them to my thighs and unfortunately, it was during a meeting. I swear I can’t make this up! It was a good laugh but I was pretty bummed not going to lie. If you follow me on Instagram you saw my tribute to them. Pretty dramatic but it was fun seeing all my favorite looks in those iconic orange pants in one place.
Tuesday – October 22nd
I’m Blue-da-ba-di da-ba-di! 💙
Denim is a classic and you’ve probably actually worn a version of this outfit before. This outfit is a spin on the Canadian tuxedo, which is denim on denim!
This shirt is actually pretty pricey! It’s from Rent the Runway and this is the second time I’ve rented it I like it so much. The patchwork makes it super unique versus just a plain denim shirt. And when looking in my closet for what shoes to rock of course I had a pair of patchwork denim mules! 😂
Aaron and I decided that it looked better with lighter denim so I had to go with a pair of jeans from Asos. They are currently out of stock so I’ve linked my new favorite Good American jeans. I’m obsessed with these jeans and how they fit, but as we’ve discussed before you’ll probably have to size up as I had to size up two sizes when I was trying them on at Curvy Con.
Wednesday – October 23rd
Cheery in Cherry Red ❤️
I had all heads turning in this red outfit. I paired my red pants from my red suit with a red sweater I got from Primark. The sunglasses are from Amazon. Glad I got these during the heart sunglasses trend this past summer.
I love these photos my bestie Amari took of me. So editorial and classic NYC. You can visually see how much I pop in contrast to our city.
Friday – October 25th
Green with Envy 💚
This my newest outfit and probably my favorite of the week.
This sweater is everything and I got it from Loft when I attended their shopping event a couple of weeks ago. Then when I was at their store on Wednesday I found these beautiful green pants for only $12! Can’t convince me that that isn’t fate! AND I knew immediately that was getting worn for my first monochromatic style week.
All-day I got compliments on this color combo because it’s more of a chartreuse green. Which is already unique AND in plus even harder to find. I lucked out on this one! The textures of this outfit made me look and feel so luxe. And the back of the sweater has the cutest detail.
