Who am I when I’m at my best?

Happy New Year! This is my first blog post of 2019 and I wanted to talk about and discuss something that’s been on my mind.

I went to a seminar last week, and a question the moderator asked the panel was “How do you know you’re at your best?” I was instantly intrigued by that question. And this question has been on my mind all week. I have never really thought about that, and it’s something I should. “Who am I at my best?” Maybe it’s one of those things that if I’m mindful about, me at my best, then maybe this year I can actually achieve it.

So I’m making an effort on this blog post to define who I am at my best. My absolute best. In full transparency that is what I want in 2019. I didn’t make resolutions this year, (and no shade to anyone who did) but rather I vowed to make 2019 my year for intention and self-awareness.

When I am at my best, I’m transparent.
When I am at my best, I’m creative.
When I am at my best, I’m hydrated.
When I am at my best, I’m Stylish Sista.
When I am at my best, I’m positive.
When I am at my best, I’m loving.
When I am at my best, I’m goal-oriented.
When I am at my best, I’m taking care of myself and my loved ones.
When I am at my best, I’m loving.
When I am at my best, I’m leading.
When I am at my best, I’m grounded in my own sense of self.

So as this year pushes forward, I’m going to look back at this list and ask myself if at any given moment I’m at my best. And if the answer is no. I’m going to sit myself down and actually figure out what needs to change to get me to my best.

And I would challenge you to do the same. When are you at your best? I’d love to hear if you’re comfortable sharing your best self. Let’s start the conversation in comments below.
